The mission of the Center for Sustainable Energy (CSE), located at the City University of New York’s Bronx Community College (BCC), is to promote and implement the use of sustainable and efficient energy technologies in urban communities through education, training, workforce development, research and project facilitation.

We can achieve a sustainable future. We can achieve clean energy independence through resources such as solar, wind, geothermal, biofuels, energy efficiency and alternative technologies. We can do it, by working together. The Center for Sustainable Energy (CSE) has forged partnerships with government, industry and other academic institutions across the city, state and country in order to implement a sustainable future, now.

The City University of New York historically has trained the workers that keep New York City running. Green Energy Training at CUNY (GET@CUNY), coordinated through the Center for Sustainable Energy, is now training the green collar workers who can help keep the City running efficiently and on renewable energy. GET@CUNY training locations include: Bronx Community College, Borough of Manhattan Community College, Kingsborough Community College, LaGuardia Community College, Medgar Evers College and New York City College of Technology.
